The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has issued a statement that the COVID-19 virus has not been detected in drinking water and that conventional water treatment methods that use filtration and disinfection, such as those utilized in Harris County MUD No. 165’s system, should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.
